Today group B went fishing for halibut! It was a lot of fun and we felt very successful with an
estimated 200+ pounds of fish caught! The boat with Professor Longwell caught 2 very large
halibut, as well as 2 stingrays and a cod. Some crabs fell out of the mouths of some of the fish
on that boat! The other boat caught lots of halibut and several cod. We also got to see lots of
cool ocean creatures, like whales, porpoises, and sea otters. It was a beautiful sunny day with a
very calm sea in the beginning, but the water got choppy and windy at the end. It was so cool
learning how to work on the boats and catch the fish!
Meanwhile, group A stayed at Bear Paw Adventure and continued sluicing for gold. Naturally,
with a fantastic group of individuals, they found enough gold to become rich! Well.. maybe not
quite that much. They DID find gold though!
After dinner, we celebrated my birthday with some delicious cupcakes. Thank you for the
surprise everyone!
It was a day filled with fun, laughter, and adventure- just like every day!
